🛻 We Interrupt This Program…
Last time on Smoke, Oak, and the Open Road, a new captain had taken over the bridge, and we promised to regale you with the results.
And all of that is still coming.
But something big happened last night.
🚨 Late Breaking News 🚨
Yesterday evening, our intrepid heroes officially fulfilled their dream of owning a Class C motorhome.
Let’s go to our roving correspondent on the scene for the latest update:
“Thanks, Dave. I’m standing here in a dimly lit driveway next to a 20-year-old Georgie Boy Maverick 23RK with a suspiciously new battery and more personality than common sense. Spirits are high. The coffee maker has already been mentally installed. The bourbon shelf has been measured twice.”
Yes — we did it.
After weeks of searching, driving, negotiating, and questioning our sanity, we are officially the proud owners of a motorhome.
She’s not brand new.
She’s not perfect.
But she’s ours.
And she smells just faintly of determination and propane.
We’ll get back to the California misadventures soon — there’s still unfinished business with the captaincy to address — but for now?
We’re raising a glass to the road ahead.
The actual, physical, on-rubber-tires road ahead.
🔥 Coming This Next Friday:
A Freebie that’s full of smoke, stacked with breakfast hash, and paired with a bourbon that plays well with eggs. Be sure to sign up for the email list here.
